This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit engine-qatar.com and when you contact us. This website does not use cookies, tracking or analytics tools, and it does not load fonts, maps, videos or other content from third-party servers.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Berlin, Germany, in data centres located in Germany. STRATO processes data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you visit the website, the server automatically records technical information in so-called log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system used. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect and prevent misuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website). The log files are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
3. Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar. Data you send via the contact form cannot be read by third parties in transit.
4. Contact form and file uploads
If you send us a request via the form on this website, we process the information you enter – name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, engine type, serial number, type of request and your message – as well as any files you upload, for example photos of the engine, data plates or PDF documents.
The form sends this information by email to our sales team. It is not stored in a database on the web server. We use the data only to answer your request and to prepare a quotation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Please only upload files that are needed for your request. To protect the form against spam, it contains a hidden field and checks how quickly it was submitted; no additional personal data is collected for this purpose.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (for example your name, contact details and the content of your message) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
6. WhatsApp
This website contains links to WhatsApp. No data is transferred to WhatsApp when you simply visit our website. Only when you click a WhatsApp link does the WhatsApp app or website open. WhatsApp is provided in the European Region by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland, which processes your data under its own privacy policy; data may also be processed in the USA.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, we process your messages, your phone number and any files you send in order to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can reach us by email or phone at any time.
7. How long we keep your data
We delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected. If a business relationship results from your request, statutory retention periods under German commercial and tax law apply (generally six or ten years).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16),
- have your data erased (Art. 17),
- restrict processing (Art. 18),
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21).
